Here is the no make up version of me on Monday. I love the light from the picture window in my kitchen. Shh, don't tell Curtis I am using his coffee cup. I like the colors better for a picture than the ones I usually use.

This week's theme was "words." It took me a few days but when this new round of winter weather hit us this morning, I knew I wanted to write in the snow. I live in Texas. We are not supposed to have wind chill factors below zero. We are not supposed to have ice and snow on the ground for multiple days at a time. Please, make it stop!

Yes, I know it is actually Tuesday as I type this but I didn't get on the computer but for a minute yesterday. With the 4 days of ice and snow we had last week, I couldn't resist taking my self portrait in the elements. I took dozens of these before I got a few in focus. If you look closely, you can see the remote in my hand.

When this little guy (my grandson, Seth) came into my life 7 years ago, I was content to take pictures with the point and shoot and was generally happy. However, when he became mobile, the only pictures I got were the back of his head. I got my first DSLR and my obsession began. He is still one of my favorite subjects. However, his little sister is now close second. This picture was taken after I bribed him on Sunday by saying I would toss the football around after he posed a few times. haha
