This past weekend, 7 other ladies and I relaxed and enjoyed ourselves at Stolen Moments Inn in Maypearl, Texas. It is a wonderful place for a scrapbooking retreat. The beds are comfy. The lighting is great. There is plenty of room. I especially loved that there was a separate dining room. On Saturday afternoon, we went into Waxahachie to visit the Crafty Scrapper, a very cool scrapbook store. Next door to the store was this fabulous green door. I convinced some of the ladies to let me take their pictures there and then I handed my camera to Susan so I could have my picture for this week. Thanks, Susan!

week 4/52 Hail Mary, full of grace
This week's theme was soothing repetition. My first inclination was to look for things I could shoot in rows. Then, I began to think about things that get done over and over again. Some of my ideas included my morning cup of coffee, rocking a baby, (don't have any bitty babies around to use for that one) and my Sunday morning routine of reading the paper in the quiet house before Curtis gets up. Then prayer entered my mind. Prayer is something I do over and over again and the rosary represents repeated prayer. This particular rosary is one my sister, Mary got for me in Rome. It is really beautiful.

shades of gray 3-52
This week's prompt is shades of gray. I was actually brain storming ideas about shooting pictures of senior citizens when I remembered I had these gray eye shadows. I opened the kitchen window and "posed" my make up on top of a gray folder.

raindrops on roses
As I drove to the grocery store in the rain this morning, I started thinking of songs that had rain in them so I bought some roses and took pictures of them outside when I got home. I took some of them hanging in the tree. (That was Curtis' idea) I took some of them on the brick wall in front of the house and then I took some of them on the bench by the front door. It was cold. I held the umbrella over myself and my camera on the tripod so we wouldn't get too wet.
